Consultant, Senior Consultant, Asset Management (Investment Operations)

As a Consultant/Senior Consultant, Asset Management, you will acquire first-hand consulting experience in the financial services industry, build knowledge on a wide range of companies, and apply project management best practices in a fast-paced and intellectually challenging work environment. As we carry out all projects at the clients’ premises, you will play a key role in building trusted client relationships through high quality deliverables and leveraging our industry expertise. 
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research, data collection and analysis on the needs and issues of the client through interviews and workshops to translate their requirements into well-formulated solutions
  • Present findings and recommendations to the client using business proposals and presentation decks
  • Document the project into systems and processes for management review
  • Close interaction with clients through regular project updates and networking
  • Support team members with other project activities
‚ÄčMore experienced candidates will have these additional responsibilities:
  • Independently drive the success of a work stream by directing activities, ensuring high quality deliverables, and timely submissions
  • Manage a team of consultants by defining meaningful work packages, managing activities, and through mentorship
  • Conduct interviews and workshops with clients to translate their requirements into well-formulated solutions
  • Participate in business development activities including topic development, proposal preparation, sales presentations, and contract negotiation
Requirements:
  • Degree holder, CFA, CAIA, FRM charterholder or candidate a plus
  • At least 3-6 years of experience in the investment management or consultancy in investment operations with strong front-to-back trade support knowledge
  • Technical knowledge of Investment Management, to include investment operations oversight, monitoring and support to fund/portfolio managers
  • Domain experience covering these areas: investment monitoring, portfolio construction assessment, investment and analytical reporting, performance, investment risk, valuation, and cash management
  • Portfolio administration experience in administrative and operational support to portfolio management, cash management and trade lifecycle support
  • Portfolio analytics experience in investment risk monitoring and performance reporting, include some GIPS knowledge would be an advantage
  • Regulatory compliance experience in monitoring of investments, pre/post-trade compliance as well as administrative operational compliance knowledge
  • Understanding of securities markets, Equities, Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Alternatives and Private Equity
  • Strong system experience in Order Management Systems (OMS), investment risk and performance
  • Project or consultancy experience in the assessment, onboarding and deployment of information services and investment technology solutions to enhance operational workflows and efficiencies
  • Experience in leading a team through an entire project life cycle
  • Capable of applying technology principles to business
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Highly analytical and structured in problem solving; able to quickly understand complex situations
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with clients and colleagues
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and team leadership skills
